Better Sauce (Plant-based, Gluten-free, Nut-free)
Butterless & chickenless, luxurious tomato-based sauce that's mildly spiced. Discovered by accident, put Indian food on the world map!
How to use it:
Butter Chicken - goes without saying! Tear up some rotisserie chicken, pan sear it, add the Better Sauce and bring to a simmer. Finish with some butter and/or cream for added richness. Can be made with any poultry.
Shahi Paneer - Next best combination of this sauce is the famous cottage cheese (paneer). Cut the paneer into cubes, sear (or not) in a pan, add the butter sauce and bring to a simmer. Finish with some butter and/or cream for added richness.
Creamy tomato pasta - use our better sauce in place of any tomato based pasta sauce and you will be surprised with the flavor explosion in your mouth. Finish with fresh basil and cheese of your choice!
Pizza sauce - since butter chicken pizza is a thing now anyway, try using our sauce.
Chickpea Curry - open a can of chickpeas and bring it to a simmer with our Better Sauce. Make sure to mash a few chickpeas when boiling for added smoothness in texture. Finish with some fresh cilantro for added freshness.
Veggie Curry - Sauté vegetables like peppers, onions, broccoli, cauliflower and whatever else you like, add the butter sauce and bring to a simmer. Finish with some fresh cilantro for added freshness. Can be eaten as side or a main. Can be served with rice, flatbread or even mashed potatoes.
Shakshuka - In a hot pan, dice some peppers and onions, add just enough Better Sauce to bring everything together, then create a couple of wells and crack an egg in each well. Cover and cook till eggs set and enjoy with a toasty slice of sourdough!
